The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle is a board book about a caterpillar's eating journey to turning into a butterfly. It comes with a CD audio recording of the author reading the story. This book has been adapted by the PACER Center STC staff. It can be helpful for children with ADD/ADHD, sensory disorders, vision impairments, and autism.
Adaptations:
- Images have been outlined with contact paper, and pipe cleaner, so that the reader is able to feel the image as well as see it.
- Braille labels have been added for readers with a vision impairment.
- Audio recording of the book has been added with using the Anybook Reader (ID# 327).
